What does Uruoi mean?
In Japanese, uruoi can mean moisture, richness, and fulfillment. Our brand name uruoi is taken from the Japanese verb “uruou,” it means moisture. Since moisture is the cornerstone of our lineup, we want everyone to be uruoi, and have uruoiskin!
How do you pronounce Uruoi?
We are glad you asked! Since it is a Japanese word, all the vowels are pronounced, so it sounds like oo-roo-oi.

Where are your products made?
All Uruoi is made in Japan.
What is your product formula based on?
All Uruoi is made with a water based formula, and contains D.P.H.A.TM, our Denka Pure Hyaluronic Acid that is created with our own patented fermentation process.
Is Uruoi made with "all natural" ingredients? Does Uruoi contain paraben or other ingredients I should be concerned about?
Uruoi contains many naturally-derived ingredients that are safe for use and we feel will promote healthy skin, combined with as few synthetic ingredients as possible. All Uruoi is free of fragrances, synthetic colors, and sulfates with a few of our lineup being free of paraben, phthalates as well. We want to make sure that our products are not only effective but can last for you.
Do you give out free samples?
You will get a free sample with every purchase. Additionally, we will periodically run promotions and sample offers, so be sure to stay updated on our Instagram and sign up for our email newsletter for any information. If you wish to test our product before purchasing, please contact us at email@example.com, specify which products you are interested in and you will have to just pay shipping.
How do I know when my product expires?
Our products have a shelf life of 2-3 years from manufacture date, however once opened, depending on how you take care of your product can impact its longevity. We recommend to use it up between 6 months to one year after opening.
Can I use these products if I’m a male?
Of course, our ingredients and the formulas inside are not restrictive based on gender or ethnicity. We believe that skin care in general is beneficial for all people.
Is Uruoi suitable for sensitive skin?
While Uruoi can be used by people with sensitive skin, sensitivity is caused by many different factors. If you know you have an issue with specific ingredients, make sure to read our product ingredient list. Test it with a small section before applying to your whole face to ensure it’s a perfect fit for you.
I have oily skin. Can I still use Uruoi?
Oil and dehydration are two different issues! Its quite possible to use Uruoi while having oily skin. Check out here for our recommendations for how to incorporate Uruoi for oily skin types.
What is the difference between dry and dehydrated skin?
Dehydrated skin will occur when there is a lack of water, whereas dry skin lacks a healthy barrier to keep moisture in. It is quite possible that your skin could be dehydrated, dry, or both. Uruoi is designed to hydrate and moisturize to answer both of these skin concerns.
How do I know which products to buy for my skin type? Should I be using each product differently based on my skin type?
No two people are the same, and skincare can be unique for everyone. For ways to use our products tailored to your skin type, check out our recommendations here.
If any irritation occurs when using skincare products, make sure to stop use immediately.
Is it normal to break out after using Uruoi?
Some people undergo a "purging" stage after incorporating products with AHA into their routine. AHA is known to accelerate the skin's cellular turnover rate, which pushes undesired impurities to the surface faster. With continued use, Uruoi can help clear the skin and help promote a glowing complexion.
However, If you feel you are having a negative reaction to the product, please stop use immediately and see if the reaction subsides.

What payment methods do you accept?
We currently accept payments via Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and PayPal as well as Google and Apple pay.
Do you charge sales tax?
Sales tax will be applied to all orders.
Do you ship internationally? Where do you actually distribute?
Unfortunately, we do not ship internationally at this time. We can be found in Japan and the US only.
Do you have a storefront?
No. At this time we are only found here on our website, and on Amazon.
When will my order ship?
We process and ship out all orders Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, and we will usually fulfill and ship orders the next business day. Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking information. Please be aware that it may take up to 24-48 hours for your tracking information to update.
Where will my order ship from?
All Uruoi orders made in the United States are shipped out from New York.
Where is my order?
You can view your status of your order by logging in to your account and viewing your order status. You can view the tracking information once you click on your order number.

What do I do if there is an item is missing from my package?
We are sorry for this inconvenience. We try to follow a strict procedure to confirm that your order is perfect before sending it out, but in the unlikely event that your order was split into two shipments please first check your inbox for any additional tracking information. In this instance, the subject will be identical and may be condensed into one email thread.
Once confirmed that there is no additional tracking information and your item is indeed missing, please reach out to us at email@example.com and we will ship the missing items to you immediately.
